When I deleted the physical volumes and created ext3 partitions,
I wound up with what was showing as a bunch of physical volumes.
(Maybe part of the problem was I was trying to use the entire disk as

After not doing anything on it for six weeks, I'm again trying to get
debian-installer working on sparc.
First iritation was needing to rebuild python2.3, as it's a dependancy
of a build-dendancy. (Apparently the sparc autobuilder is still
down.) That took 14 hours to compile. I also had to

him the expert we should be helping.
Why don't we do the coordination of work and sparc-specific issues on
the debian-sparc mailing list where it would be easier to find?

After attempting a workaround for bug 219928 building debian-installer
for sparc, (removing all referces to brltty) I find that the genromfs
command is executed but there is no build-dependancy on the genromfs
package.

I've run into the same problems building debian-installer for sparc
with both the current sid version debian-installer-20031106.1 and a
cvs checkout (about 2003-11-10 07:00 UTC) running fakeroot make image:
First, it tries to move
a sparcstation LX that I can dedicate to the project, and
have access to other sparc hardware that I may be able to test on.
