This is actually intentional. The reason is that you should start
it with the command tightvncserver. The Xtightvnc is likely not
what you want to start.
I mean you probably start X with startx and not with the
Xorg command, right?
So no I will not do this
I have now discovered that even commands like
dd if=/dev/fd0 of=floppy.img
also fail with crc errors. All these things work fine on the old box
under kernel 2.4.37. So it looks as if there is something fundamentally
wrong with low level floppy access. Yet filesystem access is ok which

That is because ppmd FTBFS on amd64. It also FTBFS on our other 64 bit
architectures (alpha, ia64 and kfreebsd-amd64). There have been serveral
attempts to fix it but so far it still segfaults during the build.

ferm ignores the @post_hooks and @flush_hooks when generating a script with

The reason is an ommitted LINES to a print command in ferm.
The attached patch fixes the issue.

I also attach the comment from libjpeg7 author.

Hi Todd
I agree. Thanks for the note. I think I should do this when moving
from the self contained tightvnc-java package to the package with
the normal tightvnc package source instead.
