I am now fairly confident that this is a bug / misdesign of
Net::Domain and that it should therefore be reassigned to
perl-modules. I'll await your feedback before doing so

you what plugin is delaying the process, and if it has spawned some

I assume the hostname setup is correct (that the commands hostname
and hostname --fqdn work)? If not that could case major problems.

Some time ago, mkinitrd began failing on me. The error message is
Root is on a DM device, but dmsetup not installed. However, this is
incorrect - / is on /dev/hda5, a very normal ATA hard drive.
