After that Wifi started to work fine, but bluetooth hcitool scan is not
finding any other bluetooth devices. The device does exist:

I just upgrade my old IBM Thinkpad X30 from lenny to squeeze. When I
rebooted the system with squeeze kernel image 2.6.32-5-686, the screen
went black during the boot process.
I googled a bit and found that if i change in file
i noticed that version _5.10.1-15 of perl is now in debian squeeze. i
therefore tested upgrade from lenny to squeeze again:
- installed lenny with 'basic system' only
- regenerated locales with en_US.UTF-8 and fi_FI.ISO-8859-1
- after modifying apt sources.list to squeeze, upgraded to squeeze
i got rid of the warnings by first upgrading locales:
apt-get install locales
and then rest of lenny:
apt-get dist-upgrade

unstable openoffice.org-soikko_1.1.1-2_i386.deb package that i had installed
separately using 'dpkg -i'. that package depends on libstlport5.0 and
perhaps would need to be build again in libstlport4.6c2 environment.

i did more experiments with openoffice.org 2.0.4-2 and libstlport:
1) removed and purged all openoffice.org packages
