If you haven't tried yet... update to the latest unstable version (3.2.1-2) and
this bug will be fixed... it also installs libgtk-3-0 (3.2.2-3), which might
have been the one to blame.
If anyone is interested in doing an autopsy to this bug,
I confirm similar behavior using sawfish window manager: rather randomly
(not even going fullscreen) I loose pointer and keyboard using
xtightvncviewer.
Switching to vnc4viewer fixed the problem

I just finish a fresh reinstall of my system... after installing compiz, I
tried the classical 'compiz --replace' but I got an error about a 'ccp plugin'
it couldn't load.
The problem was immediately solved once
I discover what was the problem: my .tcshrc was giving a message error
due to a missing file I wanted to source... I commented out that line
and the problem was gone...
It will be great if some info on this regard would be given by sftp
instead of dying silently. Thanks!
