Use the adduser script rather than useradd. It'll take care of little
things like creating the home directory. See /etc/skel too for

I upgraded to the woody version of gnumeric because the potato
version kept producing seg
I got this with Mozilla, but it was OK after I fired it up again and it
asked me for a password. I put it down to a bug in M14, I thought maybe
mozilla forgets your password (or I hadn't found the option to keep it
longer). So I guess you could check your password status.

Hello! I've been compiling a new kernel (2.2.17 on Potato)to
allow for sound support; I've done it three times and each time
it hasn't worked! The steps I've followed are these (having
unpacked the kernel source in a directory off /usr/local/src..)
1. make xconfig set up what I want
