La Bo et la Hamm s'installe sans problème sur des machines avec 16M de
RAM, elles ont un système qui tourne avec un noyau 2.0 faisant de
l'ordre de 400K: Exemple sur un serveur d'impression 486SX25 (25MHz
sans coprocesseur flottant donc) toujours increvable chez

en mi empresa se necesita algo mas que mi creencia y las cuatro

After finally upgrading to hamm-potato, one small problem remains unsolved
(the rest I managed to kill :).
While printing works fine when I do 'cat file /dev/printer', lpd seems
to think the printer is offline (lpc claims the daemon is waiting for
the printer).
What could be the cause
this so I don't know if any new problems have cropped up, but that
is how I installed Debian on this machine, as I had the Debian 2.0 CD
and wanted to be running potato.

If you are upgrading a hybrid system (i.e. bo/hamm) you will need to
edit the file /etc/apt/sources.list to the locations that you want. I
will attach a copy of mine to assist you. I assume that you are wanting
to stay with a stable slink version

I applied the diff done by Magallo at
http://master.debian.org/~mmagallo/packages/wmaker/ and that fixed the
locale problems, thanks!
Now all I have to do is figure out why netscape dies with a bus error... :(

I just upgraded an i386 box from hamm slink (a very rocky upgrade on this
box), and when starting Window Maker 0.60 which I compiled under hamm I
get an error message with an undefined reference to `_Xsetlocale'. Trying
to compile WM 0.60 does the same, giving the following output:

Edit your /etc/fstab file so /dev/hdc (or whatever device your cdrom is) is

I'm upgrading from Hamm to Slink, I didn' reboot yet but everything
seems OK
except for a few minor (?) problems:
- I started upgrading with dselect/ftp then I downloaded apt and am
actually using it. the problem is that I have a few packages left in
/var/cache/apt/archives, though
I just tried to edit a 25Mb text file in Emacs20 on a hamm system
with 128Mb of RAM. I discovered that the end of the file is shown
on the screen (no X, raw ssh/telnet screen) as a structured lot of
question marks
