I would like Smail to handle the mail for the domains I setup that

The way I understand it, is that you should not input the domain info
in /etc/smail/config under 'hostname' as that is used only for the

Try allowing access from both localhost the hostname.
If you telnet to localhost then I think the display is set for
localhost ... same with the host name. So if you don't have access
granted to whats set for the display

Right after installing debian, the system was logging in.pop3d requests
and who the requests came from in the /var/log/daemon.log file.
It seems that right after installing xinetd I lost the logging of those
messages. Maybe it was xinetd or something else, but the system WAS
logging

I just installed Frozen on a new system (clean hd).
First, I had a small problem with the rescue disk, but I think that
might be fixed with the 5/13/97 disk set that just came out.
But here is something really weird...I used 'matthew' as the first
account. After installing the base I noticed that

Everything went great. I had no problems with the install!

I'm doing a mirror of ftp.debian.org using mirror (updated maybe once a
week). Just noticed that some files are not there anymore. Any reason why
files from frozen are being deleted ? Also, are contrib and non-free
frozen also ?

My main (debian) system is at an ISP and I dial-in and telnet to my
system.
Are there any telnet clients for windows that support ssl-telnetd ?
Regarding PGP...what is everyone using, the International version or
the US version ?

there are two secure(*), encrypted alternatives:

Happened to me on another system I had setup.
Didn't really spend much time on the problem, but I would be very courious
as to what is causeing the message.
btw: I also added default setting for all services. The install did not do
this, it just converted all of inetd services over. Also remember
