I had desktop effects enabled to normal originally, and the problem
happened. I just tested it with desktop effects off and it still froze
my system.
I also just tested it with a .AVI video I have and it ran with no
problem

After further experimentation, it turns out that this only happens when
suspending by closing the lid; if I suspend by using the power button on
the gnome panel, the power button on the laptop, the Function-Suspend
key combination, or '/etc/acpi/sleep.sh force', it suspends and resumes

I have also tried switching virtual terminals upon resuming using Ctrl-
Alt-F1-10, with no luck. If I put the computer back to sleep using the
Function-Standby key combination, and wake it again, it is still broken,

Hardy, despite playing perfectly in previous releases of totem.
Sound is screwed up, many vids play incredibly slowly - at half speed or
worse - and a number simply refuse to play

every release of totem prior to Hardy played fine.
It's supposed to be only 4 seconds long; when I just tried it here I

doesn't work for me. The keyboard-shortcuts application then interprets
the Win-key as Mod4 and will allow me to set things to something like

data and time, accessible by right clicking it and selecting adjust
data and time. Pre-Hardy, clicking this launched time-admin. TIme-admin
has greater functionality than
this window is implemented by the clock applet in gnome-panel

I can not reproduce this on a 32 bit machine. (Dell Inspiron 6000).
This may be solely a 64 bit machine problem.
Will someone with a 64 bit installation of hardy please confirm this bug?

The screensaver works fine on AC power, however on battery power the screen
dims to black but screensaver does not run
