As promised, here's an 1.5 hour mousetrack from earlier today. I figure
any longer amount of time and the data is pointless because of the sheer
number of different styles of task being performed. The lines obviously

linux line in grub so this is not exclusivley a Lucid Server problem.

It slows me down way to much. I have several testing installations and
do a lot of work on them through nautilus and I need the tabs where they

this issue. If I run totem MVI_1487.AVI MVI_1490.AVI from the command
line it works fine. If I select both files and run then from Nautilus

Wish I were a coder. My field is networking. Technically it is not really a
bug but more a feature that does not keep me from using Ubuntu. The Windows 7
hard drive that came with this laptop sits in a corner. If it sits there long
enough I'll put it in a usb hard drive enclosure, format it

power-manager figure things out (at least until the next time the ac is
plugged in)... Also since the karmic upgrade (when this problem
started), my only battery shows up as BAT1 under /proc/acpi/battery. I
used to be BAT0...

While it's possible to add charsets beyond UTF-8 using the add/remove
function, it's not possible to remove UTF-8 from the list, and as far as
I can see, there's no way of setting a different default than the (to
me) useless UTF-8 charset
Today I burned a DVD (just straight data files on it) and that ejected OK.
The ones that didn't eject were all audio CD's, with mp3 and wma files as input.

Binary package hint: nautilus
While trying to create a 1:1 copy of a data CD I get an error after I
install the blank CD. It starts to copy the files and then an error
occurs which says the drive is in use, but it isn't. Nothing gets copied
to the blank CD. I'm using Ubuntu
