Okay there's a BIOS setting in the motherboard. Something like "Enable
Onboard Audio". I had it on "Enabled". I set it to "Auto" and the sound

I am getting a similar error, however my error says:
signonpluginprocess crashed with SIGSEGV in

I have the same problems:
-External speakers work and headphones connected to 3.5mm jack works fine.
- Internal speakers work for a few seconds after boot and then stops alsamixer
and pulse audio shows that sound is comming but no sound from speakers.
-Had the same trouble with 14.04
