David, have you tried setting the speaker mode to A2DP in sound
settings? If it defaulted to headset mode then it might indeed be in low
quality mono mode. Make sure the correct mode is set in your sound
settings.

Updates continued and the picture changed. Now I can not get in any way.
Start with cd-live and everything works fine. Start the installation and
everything happens normally. Restart the PC and the login screen
appears. I enter the password, press enter and ... freeze! Nothing else

On 16.04 LTS release, the recent update of mesa (17.0.7) packages, broke
VA-API.

this. The Vendor and Model/Product strings are processed and common un-
needed words are removed (e.g. "Intel Corporation" becomes "Intel") so I
think this can be marked as Fixed.

to use settings > network to deal with the WiFi connections. Happens
mostly when I " suspend " and resume my PC.
