For those experiencing minor issues such as this on earlier versions of

On LO 1:6.3.4-0ubuntu1 and Ubuntu Focal Fossa (development branch) 20.04, this

An update: testing some more, I can confirm that there were improvements on
volume, now it is definetely louder: if it weren't the buzzing effect on the
sound, I could say it was fixed. On the other hand, the louder it gets the more
noticeable the distortion became.

I'm also getting 99% of the time forever spinning on manually checking
for updates. Everything else works fine for me though.
It will randomly show updates when not manually checking.
Software 3.34.2 Fedora 31.
May or may not be the same problem.

Agreed. yaztromo identified the frustration well. I've been living
with this in Mint Cinnamon for years, and still can't seem to get used
to it. Thanks for the Alt+N shortcut (works in English/US version).
Maybe that'll help me stop cursing at my computer every time I save a
file.

Upstream report is still attracting comments but there

I've not seen the problem here on three installations of
