I have set the text scaling factor to 1.25 using gnome-tweaks. However,
every time I log in, gnome-shell text is not scaled. Other apps (GTK,
electron, firefox) are scaling correctly.

Ubuntu no longer uses vt.handover and it should not be specified at all
anymore.
We boot directly to tty1, always and everywhere, and we should not be
setting that at all.
Thus a patch changing that from 7 to 1 is not a good idea for focal+.
And I can't quite remember which releases we have
able
to figure out what makes the sound system fail, and I have not been able
to make it recover. Only way to recover seems to be to do a cold reboot.
A simple warm reboot does not fix the problem, but this can be related
to problem 1.

My debconf prompt is different and has options to retry abort skip, or
press ok.
My screen is larger, is there a scrollbar that is not visible? can you scroll
down to skip and press skip?
Alternatively, can you use debconf pressed to pressed the answer to the
quesiton as Skip:

I just want to point out, that this is not limited to my add-on

Happened to gnome-calculator on my laptop. Didn't notice any problem
with gedit. Renamed ~/.xinputrc, logout/login, problem solved. This
laptop started with 10.04LTS and has upgraded through all LTS versions
to 18.04LTS. I use gnome-flashback metacity by default...

OK, that's bug #1873630.
We don't actually know that this current crasher bug is correctly solved
by the above patch, since pulseaudio is not yet working. Perhaps the
new bug was there all along, but perhaps it was introduced by this patch
being an incomplete fix.

I'm running 20.04 beta amd64 Desktop from a USB stick of the live ISO.
I opened Disks (gnome-disks) and it sees all my drives, but it won't
show SMART stats on my NVME drive (Samsung SSD 970 EVO Plus 500GB). The
