To paste from the X11 one use your middle mouse button. To paste from

It looks like the stacktrace mentions AMDGPU related functions. For the
record, I have three graphics devices in this box currently, one from
each vendor to allow easily testing apps on each: nVidia, AMD, and
Intel. The displays are currently only connected to the nVidia card's
outputs.

I think this might be fixed in gnome-shell 3.36.0-2ubuntu2 - I can't
reproduce my duplicate bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1868418
anymore.

@Boyuan: Well, it does scream loudly in the sense that the build fails.
I wouldn't blame the build system in this case. It has worked in a
sensible and robust way for many years. The segfault issue
As another work around (for those of us doing online lectures to avoid spread
of Covid-19) you can use this gnome extension.
