1. Open nautilus
2. Connect to a networkshare (e.g. Google Drive, Samba share)
2.1 If it's a samba share, set a bookmark in nautilus
3. Now connect and disconnect the different shares
This sounds as some kind of hardware glitch to me. Please try:
sudo apt-get install --reinstall im-config
and let us know if that helped.

Reverting to the previous version should be easy since snap keeps one

After some digging I managed to find the original bug report for this issue:
bug #1702873. It was fixed in December 2018, but it looks like it regressed
since then.
