works to add the commands for example
sudo iwconfig wlan0 essid LAUREL
which works fine from the xterminal and did work from startup applications.
The reason for this command is the automatic connection on raring
Initially this was a question that I posed on Launchpad. I was asked to
put the content of .xsessionssomething into a pastebin, as well as the
output in a terminal when I started Thunderbird in the terminal. The
output in the terminal had the error messages for Glib calls. Nikki from

For the record, I have run 3.7.0-4 with i915.i915_enable_rc6=0 for more
than 24 hours in sum without a single freeze. So I confirm Timo's theory
that this is the cause, and he said RC6 is going to be reverted for
Arrandale in the next kernel upload.

I have laptop hp pavillion g6 (1170sv model) and I have the same problem. With
open source drivers my laptop is overheating up to 80C... When I install
propritary driver my laptop have 70C, but the unity not appear. Now I have
installed gnome classic to work and I think the ati driver not work

when installing the fglrx module, it doesn't build the kernel driver,
because it doesn't install the kernel sources as a dependency. from the
command line output to apt-get install fglrx:

Basically, if a user hits the power button and clicks suspend, or clicks
on the shutdown icon then selects suspend, the request is never
processed and the laptop does nothing.
IF SUPPORT IS NOT WORKING (the OS detects a problem with the acpi
after manually installing linux-sources-generic, the fglrx module also
compiles / installs fine
