I get a black screen for 5-10 seconds every time I logon after upgrading

I've tested this and got it working on almost every release since 2009. I
don't now recall if I got it working for raring or not. Jockey is having

After upgrading to ubuntu 13.10 my thinkpad T400 touchpad was set to
two-finger scroll mode. The touchpad in the laptop doesn't support that.
It was not possible to set it to edge scroll in normal gnome settings.

I confirm the bug. Currently trying to make a fresh install of 13.10
latest beta or daily, but both are buggy. Alt-shift is gone and even
Super+space does not work. Instead I get Mod4+Super+Hyper+space

does both left/right mute in node 0x16 have effect ?
only Val[1] mute affects woofer, Val[0] doesnt seem to have any impact
on woofer nor internal speakers

Can't set keyboard layout change to ctrl+shift

The hibernate option is now present, but greyed out, which I guess is
because hibernation is disabled globally, which in turn I guess is
because hibernation doesn't work in most cases (very sad that nothing
has been done to fix that yet).
