another thing that is more appropriate in the Gutenprint than the HPLIP
driver is the settings of the media limits. Gutenprint driver is

The main problem I've found when testing this bug is that every sound played
from the Maroon in trouble opens and closes the pulse audio sink to play
every single sound.
What we experience then is that the role is changing from alert to
multimedia just for less than a second and you can see

It's a very strange error, because the file that was mentioned actually exists
in my computer.
Unless that file was momentarily missing due to a repository update, and
exactly when oneconf decided to sync. If that's how this works, of course.

A family member inadvertently changed their User Account to Login without
password and subsequently I was unable to revert this change until I
discovered the nopasswdlogin group and manually removed them from that group.

A solution to this has been found thanks to https://support.mozilla.org
/en-US/questions/1077299. If the
.mozilla/firefox/**.default/prefs.js entry for gfx.xrender.enabled
is manually changed from false to true the window displays with content
and menus. Hopefully this will be useful to others
If we would have a volume-slider Qt/QML element that allows you to pick the
role it manages you could have a volume control in the app (like i described in
bug #1389761) ...
that would indeed not fix indicator sound (or volume button) behaviour unless
you limit its focus to certain roles.

I just pulled out that laptop, and this is definitely still an issue. I
guess I let it lapse because I got a new laptop where this all works
just fine.

I have attached a copy of the /home/this-
user/.mozilla/firefox/console.log which may help the relevant developers
identify why the console is inoperative. It contains details of console
error conditions which seem to have only commenced after the update to
40.
