OK. I'm running Ubuntu under Wayland now, and after the laptop wakes up,
the mouse cursor tracks -really- quickly on the trackpad and I lose
multitouch and right-click. I can still mouse-around and click, but no

tldr; manually turn off shared memory by using the "--no-xshm" flag,
setting the environment variable
@Kai, is there any archive search or similar that could be done to
ensure nothing is relying on the old naming? could it break existing
user configurations?

Can you run the following command in a terminal, after closing chromium:
rm -rf ~/snap/chromium/common/.cache
Then run chromium again, and let us know whether the problem persist.

Thanks, confirming the issue with the statusbar menu items. Those
options aren't supposed to be editing gedit preferences though but they
should apply to the current document and be stored for it. Could you
maybe report the issue upstream on

it is just a potential worry, I've verified on three different CPU
platforms Cometlake, Coffeelake, and Whiskylake. They work both on old
kernel and the 5.4-edge-kernel. I don't know If my description is
appropriate, it is nice if you can give me some input, thanks.
