It has speakers and a headphone jack. Previously when the headphone jack
was unplugged sound came from the speakers, and when headphones were
plugged in, sound came only from the headphones. In Ubuntu

I have run Ubuntu Mate 22.04 in Virtual Box for the specific reason of
testing this. I updated VTE to 0.68, but this problem still existed.
Should it be fixed in 0.68? As for the workarounds, selecting text
manually stops being an option when you repeatedly have to scroll up
several minutes while

gnome shell crashes
That sounds great, thank you very much. I guess it's an optimal way to
keep the marco look-and-feel and have it invoked securely at the same
time.
Could there be a scenario where arctica-greeter is upgraded on a system
but marco is not? (e.g. arctica-greeter invoking "marco --no-
keybindings"
This one seems not to happen any more after removing the said extensions
(system-monitor-next...) but I also disabled dash and icon desktop.
I am still experiencing another issue related to monitors but it is
probably separate so will follow in another report.

Ok, thank you for all the great context everyone! I am still worried
that all of this lands so late and just a few days before Final Freeze.
That being said, as I see that Gunnar seems to be +1 on having this
change in jammy, I would generally be fine with this FFe.
