Certainly; please see attached. What I did was:
1. Ran killall xscreensaver to kill the running xscreensaver.
2. Ran xscreensaver -verbose -log output_log_name. The splash screen came up.
3. Waited a few seconds.
4. Closed the laptop lid.
5. Waited a few seconds.
6. Opened the lid. The password
I guess this is the key line in the log file:
xscreensaver: 21:17:14: LOCK ClientMessage received; activating and
locking.
Presumably something, such as ACPI, is asking xscreensaver to lock
rather than activate?

log in to (or out of) gnome-classic. I was able to diff the .config
before and after and this is what I found:

I've now managed to reproduce this in a fresh user account. It seems
that after making a new account if you immediately log in to gnome
classic it will log in instantly. You can do that over and over and it
is always fast. But as soon as you have logged into a Unity session,
both Unity and Gnome
Also, these all default to using compiz in 12.04, if it is installed:
- unity 3D
- gnome-classic-fallback
- cairo session
And these all do not:
- unity 2D (metacity)
- gnome-shell (mutter)
- gnome-classic-NO-effect (metacity)

I am burning a 14GB ISO to BD-RE media. The burn completes successfully,
but brasero appears to crash every time at about 70%, or after about
9531MB. At this point the dialogue stops updating (see screenshot). When
the burn finishes some time later, the dialogue indicates

To reproduce:
1. Get a BD-RE and burn some ISO to it.
2. Start brasero and select tools-blank
3. Select the disc (probably already selected) and continue.
The disc is ejected and reinserted a couple of times. Then finally it is
ejected and a message box appears saying disc
