I believe that Firefox is using the Hunspell system libraries for the
dictionaries, so there should not be a need to install the individual
dictionary add-ons separately.

It still takes Banshee a bit to load the GUI, leaving you with a blank
windows for a few (+/-5) seconds when launching the application, but

mesa updates of 14.0.4.2. It'll remove all the new packages and give you the
graphic stack compared to before installing the LTS enabled stack. Hence you
can install fglrx again.

No such trickery is needed for 14.10 because there's no LTS enablement stack
for 14.10. fglrx, from the Ubuntu repositories as well as the AMD website will
install just fine the normal way.
