I've managed to get the system to boot when not plugged into mains by
adding 'iommu=soft' to the linux line in grub.
Not sure at what cost but at least I don't lose my display info like
when nomodeset is used.

This affects me too - Ubuntu MATE 20.04, Lenovo T495 (so AMD
graphics/amdgpu).
Boots fine with power supply connected, but running from battery, laptop

This appears to be quite an old issue with Optimus graphics. For me the
workaround was to pass specific kernel parameters at boot time to inhibit acpi
control of the backlight but allow intel_backlight control

I have created a large deb file of game assets for Quake 4 using the
game-data-packager tool in Ubuntu 16.04. If I double-click on this file
in Nautilus, gnome-software opens to install the file. However, the file
size is incorrectly listed as over 18 exabytes (!) as per the
16.04, latest LTS, but just ran into this bug. The strength meter says
"Strong", but the "Change" button remains greyed out. The only way to
change your password on this LTS, ridiculously, is to use a terminal!

Brasero ejects CD before burning audio
I don't believe this is actually an issue. I have the same 'problem',
but Banshee does eventually identify the phone and the music files. My
phone is a Motorola Moto X XT1053 with 32GB of storage. I figure it is
just taking Banshee a while to scan all the files and identify the audio
files.

Its the same with 14.04, 14.10 and 15.04, is support discontinued for
Dell GX600, It would be nice if someone with expert knowledge would
explain how the internal speaker can be correctly detected, after all it
all worked perfectly in 12.04

Please note that there's a minor UI glitch here: We have 2 dropdown arrows,
as you can see in the screenshot. They both have the same effect. When
clicking the right one, the left one even shows a pressed state.

Revised patch
Now resets the From address correctly when you select the current
identity from the drop-down, adds a one-time warning dialog, and removes
the Linux/OSX CSS because that wasn't working in its current state.
