After upgrading from 15.10, xenial-sawfish stops with an error indicating that
wallpaper can't be found.

That is something I tried out some time back. That is not installed on my
system now.
I now understand where that bug report may apply now.
This Trash pop-up error is getting a bit out of hand so I
14.04, affected by the bug, manually starting NetworkManager helps, but
I do get the error message:

In Ubuntu 15.10, using Nautilus 3.14.2, following the above steps the
invisible folder is created, however, it also creates an Untitled folder
as well.
To prove that the invisible folder is being created:
- make a new folder that starts with a period (.testfolder)
