Also take a look at the Incubator graduation guide[1] - especially the
section on Community. That section includes the following, but as I said in
June[2] the IPMC seems to have moved from the prescriptive criteria laid
out in that section, but would be a good idea to consult either with
mentors

+1 from me for this release.
* I checked the DISCLAIMER, LICENSE & NOTICE files
* I check the sigs & checksums

I comment I have is that "GEODE-610" wont mean anything to the IPMC or
board, so I would suggest rephrasing this to something like "The only item
pending for the Alpha-1 release is completion of the LICENSE and NOTICE
file review (GEODE-610)".

Hi,
It looks like the gradle build currently only produces a binary
distribution, so will need to add a source distribution task.

Personally I prefer to refer to markmail because it has an better UI for
seeing a thread (and messages are there quickly)

For example a single message:

Its been two months now since the Geode Source was committed to the ASF git
repository and no action has been taken to comply with the ASF license
headers policy. The incubator policy actually recommends this is done before
committing the code

Theres a section for Geode on that wiki page. You need to replace the Geode
(unless you already have it) or get someone
else with access to do it for you.
