On my previous workplace we used tiles with struts to greatly reduce
duplicate code and simplify an application. I think it's still in use and i
see no reason for changing that.

You need to pretty much rewrite some of it.
If you split up the logic in seperate classes, you can of
way more problems than any benefit it gives.

- Documenting compatible versions for every plugin for all releases is
going to be a challenge.
So i don't know think the benefits outweigh the downsides.

* title for code blocks
Are those no longer possible with the markdown approach? (especialy
