It's using paths instead of actual font strings, but originally I (and gregg) have used Droid Sans for the Powered by text ans Syncopate Bold for the APACHE text. Can I assume that all the logos being proposed are donated to the ASF? I'm sure they are, but we need some sort of paper-trail to ensure. If someone is a committer with an iCLA then it's not really needed, but any from non-committers need verification. If people are content with this suggestion, I can turn it into png/gif images and put them in the docs folder in trunk as well as the svg version.
