Hey Yang,
Well, I have no idea why the gen-cpp directory is not populated for you. I
have made a full clean build this week on the latest Impala code with
success.
Could you please give more details how you try to build? e.g:
- Which dir you use for Impala build?
- How do you source the configs

Hi folks,
We need to upgrade Jenkins to address a security advisory. I'll be doing so
today. My apologies for the disruption it will inevitably cause!

Could you grant me the Write access to Impala cwiki?

Thank you.
This is completed. There were only two patches being built, so I killed
those builds.
I restarted GVO for change 9976 ("Move some test_spilling debug actions to
exhaustive").
I *did not* restart builds for change 9988 ("IMPALA-5717: Support for
reading ORC data files"). It's currently private to
Looks done to me.

I went to go check this and it looks like you already are set up with
basically full permissions, so I think you should be in good shape.

HDFS, Hive, etc need to be started before running start-impala-cluster.py.
You can do that directly by running ./testdata/bin/run-all.sh, but it is
started automatically by buildall.sh in a lot of cases, e.g. if you run ".
/buildall.sh -noclean -testdata" like described here:

Is it possible that the upgrade broke some of our builds?
I'm seeing some weird errors like the below, e.g. on this build

Yes, so it seems. I'll look into it.

I am upgrading build-name-setter and am going to do another restart. (
https://issues.jenkins-ci.org/browse/JENKINS-48944 is the JIRA.)
As before, I'll try to take note of which GVOs were running and restart
them. On balance, I think it's better to take the disruption right away.
Thanks,

I think https://jenkins.impala.io/job/clang-tidy-ub1604/1330/ has gotten
farther than previously, so perhaps upgrading that plugin was sufficient.
Please continue to let me know if you see anything else awry!
