Re: [sabayon-dev] Testing DAILY ISO
I tested the Sabayon_Linux_DAILY_amd64_MATE-dev iso dated Oct. 24 on a Lenovo laptop with Intel graphics. Everything started fine. Anaconda would start without crashing, but I do not have this system partitioned for fully installing with Anaconda, so I could only test as far as starting Anaconda, and proceeding to the manual partitioning section without completing that portion.

Re: [sabayon-dev] Testing DAILY ISO
Thanks. The problem is the new version bump of NetworkManager, that caused incompabilities with the anaconda implementation which was based on the old stable version. I just pushed the new version that should address the issue in sabayon-limbo, consider that you can also upgrade anaconda during LiveCD for testing :) Cheers Il giorno lun 17 ott 2016 alle ore 19:37 sabayonino ha scritto: > Hi Ettore, > > Yes.I can test *-dev ASAP > > waiting *-dev.iso 20161018 or later 'cause 20161017 anaconda still > crashes. > > I think It crashes for all ISOs (I tested Gnome-Mate-KDE and got the > same error) > > On 10/17/2016 02:00 PM, devel-requ...@lists.sabayon.org wrote: > > Send devel mailing list submissions to > > devel@lists.sabayon.org > > > > To subscribe or unsubscribe via the World Wide Web, visit > > https://lists.sabayon.org/mailman/listinfo/devel > > or, via email, send a message with subject or body 'help' to > > devel-requ...@lists.sabayon.org > > > > You can reach the person managing the list at > > devel-ow...@lists.sabayon.org > > > > When replying, please edit your Subject line so it is more specific > > than "Re: Contents of devel digest..." > > > > > > Today's Topics: > > > >1. Re: [sabayon-dev] Testing DAILY ISO
Hi Updated KDE-DEV (20160922) Installer test : Installer works fine now. (auto and manual partitioning) /home + lucks works new backround has come ... need to update x11-themes/sabayon-artwork-wallpapers-16.03 maybe ... Nothing to report now. I think is good. Need more deep test... :)
Re: [sabayon-dev] Testing DAILY ISO
updated KDE-DEV ISO (20160921) Anaconda still crash at first step when choose auto partitioning - Now Dolphin is faster. - Dolphin-Terminal (F4) and Folders/files (and hidden files) are faster now. - Start Anaconda. Choosing Auto partitioning ... anaconda fails see https://www.dropbox.com/s/i4vnlvz7g1bhiap/20160921-KDE-DEV-anaconda_crash?dl=0 - restart anaconda and choosing manual partitioning and then "auto partitoning" , installer goes on all fine. :)
Re: [sabayon-dev] Testing DAILY ISO
Resend. Hi.Here I am... Now to test KDE-DEV (now to my Dell Latitude E6330) - System take a while to load desktop env. - localization and keyboard are set fine - still have "no session found for uid 1000 (unknown)" error and I can't manage wifi connections or mount USB Device (same issue) - Dolphin is very slow to show dirs/files (and hidden dirs/files) - dolphin-terminal (F4) take a while to open. - Tried to install configuring automatic partitioning. Anaconda crashed. See log attachment https://www.dropbox.com/s/eg5u261bzsmkazt/anaconda_crash.tar.gz?dl=0 :( I thing is dbus issue (not sure of course) journalctl : Unable to connect to DBus session bus: ('Unable to connect to session bus: %s', GLib.Error('The connection is closed', 'g-io-error-quark', 18)) (extracted from anaconda-journalctl log) if i try to restart dbus service all system freeze :D

Hello, the attachment is too big. See the reason stated in the mail. It's bad practise to send attachments via Mailing Lists anyway (causing too much traffic). Upload it somewhere and just share the link via ML, please. Cheers, André Am Wed, 21 Sep 2016 14:24:03 +0200 schrieb sabayonino : > Hi . Re: [sabayon-dev] Testing DAILY ISO
same things with old DAILY (20160918) , latest KDE daily not tested yet. I think it's dbus issue (not sure 'cause I can't manage anything.. USB drive,wired/wireless conenctions and more ...) can't paste any outputs. I revived "1000 UID (unknowm)" error or something like... But after install everything is fine Then : --- Installed MATE + Encrypted Home (3 installations into two different pc desktops) with various partitioning combinations . No problems to report :) . Good --- Same things for Xfce-DEV Edition. - Localization and keyboard are set propely There is only one annoing problem : cant'see disk info boxes clearly . Boxes are too bright. see http://imageshack.com/a/img921/8149/LliPqI.png Changing theme/colors schema has no effect. please change foreground or backgorund colors if it depends on Anaconda installer :D Sabayon Mate hasn't this issue cheers :) On 09/21/2016 12:59 AM, devel-requ...@lists.sabayon.org wrote: > I am still noticing a delay on the KDE iso from when it boots to loading > KDE. Re: [sabayon-dev] Testing DAILY ISO
Greetings, I am still noticing a delay on the KDE iso from when it boots to loading KDE. It finishes up the boot sequence and give me a black screen for a solid 1-2 mins then kde loads up. I am testing these ISO's on KVM at the moment. I have add an additional cpu to verify that is was not the issue. Current specs are 1028mb and 2 cores. Host machine is a 16 core AMD Bulldozer with 32G of ram so its no slouch. It also is pegging the cpu as soon at anaconda launch's. Anyone else seeing these issues? Other then that it seems fine other then the points that mudler pointed out. LVM and LUKS worked great this time around!!! If additional information is needed let me know I am more then happy to provide it.
