While saying keyboard interface I don%u2019t mean the keys that
are used to PLAY the keyboard. There are two interfaces on the
keyboard. One is the keys for playing the instrument which have been
stable for centuries (except for some experimental examples such as
Doh! I mispelled Dan's last name and left off the book...

I'm looking for really friendly, perhaps even self-effacing and humorous
copy online.
So examples of great, useful and friendly error messaging, interaction
guidance and just the kind of tone-of-voice that makes you sit-up and think
this isn't a faceless corporate/sale/traditional site

I've gotten several useful ideas from the examples people pointed me

You are probably aware, but I think 37 Signals' applications (e.g.
Basecamp) handle this extremely well. It's probably the best
implementation I've seen on the web.
