IxDA Berlin and Usability Stammtisch BBQ When: 7pm – 10pm Wednesday, August 12th, 2009 Where: Bassier, Bergmann Kindler, Milastraße 2, Berlin This time it`s all about mutual exchange over mutually roasted meat (or vegetable, according to your taste!). Once again we get together with Berlin`s Usability Stammtisch (http://usability-stammtisch-berlin.mixxt.de), this time to enjoy an evening at the BBQ. As an exception to the rule, we DON`T meet at the new thinking store for this event, but Bassier, Bergmann Kindler, one of Germany`s leading partners for brand leadership and training with digital media, are kindly providing their balcony. Adaptive Path is over to Berlin for a couple of Workshops in early May this year and Todd kindly agreed to give us some insight about User Research practice at Adaptive Path. Call for Participation: UXcamp Berlin 2009 Bringing together: User Experience Designers, Interaction Designers, Information-Architects, Prototype Engineers, Product Managers, Visual Designers, Usability Professionals This is the goal we set in organizing the UXcamp 2009 in Berlin on may 23rd and 24th. In a BarCamp style we invite professionals, rookies, experts and evangelists of the user experience community to collectively reason about trends, developments and strategies for the future of our industry. A BarCamp is a user generated conference whose content is provided by its participants. As a place for talks, workshops and get together it lives from the enthusiasm and personal interaction of the people attending. The final schedule is laid out every particular day at the event itself enabling spontaneous adjustments and reactions. Every participant of the UXcamp is encouraged to propose topics and hold sessions. So it`s up for number IXDA Berlin`s local meeting III: When7pm - 10pm Wednesday, August 6th 2008 Where newthinking store GmbH, Tucholskystr. 48, 10117 Berlin Just as last time: New Thinking Store, who`s kindly hosting us and provides space, beamer and network connection (http://store.newthinking.de/), closes at 9pm. So that`s the time then to crawl for a nearby pub to fade out the evening with your drink of choice. Topics this time: Design Processes. As stated last time we consider it quite interesting how IxD is done and organised in the different organisation we work in. So I guess I gonna start and present some of the ideas at D-LABS GmbH to start the discussion. If you are interested feel free to prepare slides or any material from your perspective and bring them along. I guess we are all not too much interested in a general talk about UCD processes, so I`d rather see this as an entry point for a discussion about the practice we are all conducting.
