I think the restarting is to do with the socketwrapper code. This listens for output from mplayer and sends it the slim code, if output stops the code restarts mplayer. This is required on Windows to overcome problems with piping data. The source of this is available in SVN if you want to take a

So my SB2 with 6.2 SlimServer has been going along fine with WEP set. I decided to upgrade to WPA2. All seems fine as far as the network itself is concerned. At least, my Mac sees both the main Airport Extreme base station and the remote one (set up as WDS network). The SB sees the WDS

I considered doing something similar, but as you say, it's just a bit too big to fit in a standard car audio spot. You might ebay around for a sb1 (NOT sbg!): the display is a little less wide with the IR sensor on a separate board. It might be the inch you need. -- Michael

CCMP is the integrity check portion of the AES cipher used in WPA2, much like TKIP is the integrity check for RC4 in WPA. The fact that the Airport Extreme is only allowing those three options means it's adhering to the Wi-Fi standards. WPA/AES (or WPA with CCMP) isn't really a standard, but

Same problem here (but running SlimServer on Win2K). Any playlists that were previously created in Slimserver do not appear. Oddly, several that I had created in Windoze Media Player - .wpl files - DO show up. It's just the .m3u ones that are missing. -- TomR
