Tag reading is already complicated enough without adding support for yet another format - in my opinion. My mp3 files have both id3v2 and mp3gain ape tags and they work fine with both fb2000 and slimserver, as long as you have the id3v2 foobar plugin. -- jth

This is called a ground loop. It's caused by audio equipment being at different ground potentials. The potentials will balance themselves out by sending a current over any available connection. In this case, it's over the analog interconnect cables to your powered speakers. It's

The question remains Pat, where could the ground loop be coming from? If there's nothing connected to the computer speakers other than the SB and nothing connected to the SB, where could it be coming from? Usually in A/V systems, 95% of the time it's coming from the cable TV connection. But

Feel free to discuss issues in the General forum if the issue doesn't seem to belong in any of the Forums. It has plenty of feedback. Its not clear that what you are suggesting is a solution to a problem, or a solution looking for a problem. Plenty of bugs are discussed in the various forums
