After setting the volume at full everyting worked perfectly. BTW, the only connection from my SB3 to my receiver is the optical/dgital cable. If I have volume set at full on the SB3 will the sound quality degrade. I'm not an audiophile - but I think we've all noticed that when you crank the

So I go to every UK reseller listed on this site. I email them, none of them reply. Most only sell the new SB. A couple list the SB2 but then you find out they have no stock. I'd rather save £50 and get another SB2 especially as there is really no difference between 2 3 other than looks.

One way would be to use SoftSqueeze on the SlimServer - it is basically a java virtual Squeezebox which you can synch with physical squeezeboxes. Works for me most of the time. I'm sure there will be more sophisticated/complicated methods as well. -- Apteryx
