Mixer 1.6B2, I disactivated the music magic in slim server, it seems to
fix the problem. I have not tried seting up Music mixer again after

I have a problem with SlimServer:
I can´t connect to the local installed Slimserver on my PC on Port
9000.
The Windows XP internal Firewall is switched off, and the Slimserver is
running.
If I click on open Slimserver the IE6 browswer starts with:

It's a bug in the installer. BTW you didn't have to re-download it.

It happened to me recently when updating from 6.1.1 on Windows XP. The
installer failed to install Slim as a service although I had asked it
to start automatically.

I thought so. Today I found that one album gets listed twice, i.e. it
contains 16 songs and if I add it to the playlist, SlimServer will add

My slimserver is losing my playlists. I have a directory with about
three .m3u playlists in it of varying sizes. One has only four songs
in it. I am correctly pointed to it in slimserver and the playlists do
not show up in browse playlists in either slimserver or on my shiny new
squeezebox.

The 6.2.2 beta was broken sometimes between 3-22 and 3-25 and has not

the Squeezebox (and archiving) and MP3 for use in portable players and
the car, so yes it does help.
It means going through 300 albums with MP3tag and adding an extra tag
but I'm quite anal about keeping things neat. Unless of

Instead of changing two sets of tags, just change the FLAC set and then
batch convert them to MP3 using Foobar2000 (or similar). Admitedly the
encoding time will be significant for 300 albums, but at least it can
be done in the background and unattended.

and restart the SlimServer and usually it plays fine. Almost always it
