That version of QTFU6 is the best one to use. You should try posting on the Hymn project forum. Someone there will probably be able to help. Tunebite is basically the same as burning and re-ripping, just faster. It's sampling an already lossy compression so you lose more audio quality. Steve.

You could try commenting out the call to the 'begin_playing' playing function from Anton's script. Then any new tracks will be appended to the SlimServer playlist but not played immediately. Unfortunately that would mean that if you do skip a track half way through in iTunes, SlimServer will
