Hi I have SS installed on a Syn Diskstation, and I am about to change my setup. The Diskstation setup is getting too slow for me... I guess SS will be much faster on a 3 ghz Pentium 4 with 1 GB ram. But how fast will the look for new and changes - rescan be? I currently have 47 GB with music.

Extreme Tech has a review up of a 4.7 x 4.5 x 1.5-inch PC that draws 5-watts of power. IMO 256 MB of RAM would be the limiting factor as would the 500 MHz processor. For smaller music collections this looks pretty attractive for a stand alone, easily hidden server. Comes with Ubuntu 7.04
