Squeezecenter can only group multi-disc albums together if they share the same album name. How should SC otherwise know if two discs with different name belong to the same album? You only need to change your tags to the same name, you can still have the disc x part in the filename if you like.

Hmm, thanks for the reply... Having looked around the web, people seem to have varying degrees of performance. Theoretically, one should be getting 1.5Gbit/sec which is the max for PCMCIA but, obviously, one wouldn't expect that in a real life scenario. What I want to do is attach something

hello I use squeezecenter running on a dual core ubuntu box to stream my music to my work. so i point foobar at http://myserver:9000/stream.mp3 and use the web interface to add tracks. here is where the prob comes. for some albums squeezecenter will not play the first track. it will load it

The list albums by band option is just broken. There is no way, a 20 track album with every track having the same album artist info and complication flag=no should appear under various artists just because there is a guest singer on one track. -- bullgod

let me clarify that a bit for you... album artist and band are both tpe2 tags. so essentially the same. when SC7 says list by band thats the same as saying list by album artist, and all it means is it DISPLAYS that tag as by album artist it does not mean to suggest it SORTS by that tag.
