My specific issues at the time weren't really the point.
Anyway FWIW, changing my Slimp3 config from a manually selected
Squeezebox server to a full automatically selected server + DHCP fixed
the drop out issue.
I guess sometimes a reset works wonders, that probably goes for me too.

SBReceiver -- NAD C162+C272 -- DALI IKON 6 (let's call it MidFi)
Why should Logitech use time on this when the community brings out the
solutions much faster; example Sonos just introduced their pad app; we
have at least 2 for Squeeze and they have been around for a while.

It would help to know what type of Squeezebox you're talking about. For
the SB Radio or Boom you need to turn the device on to set the alarm,
and in that sense the built-in speakers will be powered on. Even so,
they won't necessarily make any sound. If you disable the Radio's beeps

I just purchased a Roku player so I could stream Netflix and other

ok, i doubt this is iPengs fault, but i had it working and now it isn't
working.
the computer is ethernet to router 192.168.1.2 and the iPod is

when i run squeezeplay on the computer, it works fine.
well this always happens... after i post i get things to work, but in
this case, i don't know how i did it, or what changed to let it work.
i still have some questions though:
1. how do i get iPeng to DELETE and forget that 19.2.168.1.11 was ever
a music source?
2. in the WOL commands, how do
So you guys will probably hear this today... There is no Squeezebox
support in version 1.0 of the Revue. There is a basic DLNA media
player. I believe Squeezebox player support may come in a future
update. It is not likely to ever be used as a Squeezebox Server.
If the PC running Squeezebox Server is Windows-based: remote in or
physically go to the PC, open a Command Prompt (Start Run cmd), and
type ipconfig. It will look something like 192.168.x.x

Some of our machines here at work run extremely slow if IPv6 isn't
removed from their IP stacks - our routers and switches haven't been
set up to handle it yet, Nor the Nameservers.
Also you might want to check for fragmentation due to MTU (Packet size)
fragmentation.
...just some stabs at it.
Per the Logitech website pictures, there is no separate audio out, thus
unless you have a stereo system that accepts HDMI, you can't connect
directly to a sound system, only a TV.
The new Apple TV has a separate optical out for audio.
Was expecting more from Logitech.
