The tv's network settings are they reasonable ?
No other media server running on the network that TV tries to talk to ,
does it try to index some video files somewhere ?
I'm just guessing , your problems seems very strange it does not really
make any sense .

Ickstream deleted one account, so I now only use my google account. Now
it works.
But one thing is frustrating. The search results through Ickstream is
not very good. Way to much crap shows up, and many not playable albums.
The results is much better through
But now fixed - woohoo, been trying to post for a couple of weeks!
Thanks to whoever sorted it.

Tv network settings look ok because it looks like it's only
squeezebox getting effected i am starting to think it's the homeplug

Your TV could easily be causing interference to the Homeplug. Are you
able to temporarily remove the homeplug from the equation to test ?

i agree. so should i just reset the SBT and start over?
Yes, I'd do a factory reset of the SBT, start over, and enjoy the music.
The Sound Quality you get through the Touch via your DAC will be
excellent without messing about with offbeat settings.

I have already told my wife that if we ever win the lottery that I would
want to buy the Squeezebox name and rights from Logitech so I would have
something to do with my time. With the power of the tiniest computers -

what LMS should i be using?
The homeplug is a good 12 feet from the tv if you mean proximity
interference?
Also its not the tv being on that's the issue because If i unplug the
lan cable bit keep the tv on the interference goes.

That tells me you must have been using something like Soundcheck's

no reason at all not to use the latest. I'd suggest 7.8. 7.9 is beta
so you'd have to put up with occasional hiccups, although it has gotten
very stable. I use LMS 7.8 on my main music servers, but use 7.9 in my
windows LMS just to play with. See:

I imagine there's a fair amount of tooling for producing the Radio,
Boombox and Touch cases, schematics for boards, etc.
As to whether or not anyone could make a go of it with Squeezebox as a

The software is open source and the hardware is really old and full of
no longer available parts, you'd have to completely redesign it anyway,
so you can just as well start from scratch or with one of the 3rd party
projects which are more modern anyway.

I've found enough classical music on Tidal to make it worthwhile -if- it
were easier to find. A search on Mahler will not bring up anywhere near
the number of Mahler recordings they have available. You have to search
on composer and artist, and even then I'm not sure it's finding
everything.
