to display Chinese Character anymore. The Boom still able to display

Back to the Chromecast Audio
Some documentation on the Discovery part of Chromecast can be found

True. Actually, with a few small changes the GPM Plugin does function.
But it's getting more "patchworky" and once the API implements new
features...
Well never mind. Enough OT here... ☺

Yes, I could certainly try that, as I have a laptop win computer
connected to ethernet that
By the way, garym, I'm also running my main LMS on a Vortexbox, but I'm
also running another LMS server on my Windows computer, which is where I
have the Waveinput plugin installed.

Right. Waveinput is listed under 3rd party plugins in the LMS server
settings. You need to check "Show all 3rd party plugins" to see it.
Once you've added it, it becomes just another input that you can use for
your Squeezebox ecosystem.
Ikabob wrote:

install the Wavinput plugin on your computer (that's also running LMS)
and then you can stream the output of the sirius playing on computer to
your Squeezebox. I played around with this years ago to try and play

Believe me, I've tried, but I never got far. I just don't have any
talent whatsoever for coding. So I try to make suggestions and donate to
the devs of stuff I use.

@philippe_44
I completely understand. I just thought it wouldn't hurt to ask. If you
manage to get the Chromecast Audio working, then that would pretty much
make the Play Music app superfluous anyway... 😊

@philippe_44
Just in case you are looking for one more challenge besides this, you
could always look into the Google Play Music Plugin here on LMS. It's
currently not being maintained, since Hechtus doesn't have the time.
Work on the unofficial API is coming along slowly but surely, so it
might n

I can't see the point of this device. It's too tied to Google Play. They
are not going to allow that to change.
A Raspberry Pi with Hifiberry DAC+ seems far more suited but if you want
a consumer thingy then an Amazon Fire with SB Player seems the best bet
to me as long as you have an HDMI Receive
I don't subscribe to Sirius, but if you have both LMS and the Sirius
player on your computer, couldn't you just use the Waveinput plugin in
LMS to send the feed to your Squeezebox players?

As above..
been working A-ok up till this evening when the remote didn't change
anything on my Transporter's display.
I Xlink reset it "just in case" and I was able to step through the setup
menu with the remote.
So the sensor was fine.
Still unresponsive after Xlink reset, so used onboard button
Yes, my PSU for my Classic died recently and according to Michael here
in the German section, Touch and Classic have the same PSU. Logitech

Thank you for the suggestion. I will resort to using Sirius on my
computer, but , as Gary points out, it's not like having Sirius piped in
IIRC Touch and SB3/2 PSU have same spec. If you are in the US Squeezebox
Touch psu is listed here for $20 under Ac Adapters. Touch PSU is

And when Google support muti room synchronisation, I'll probably have to
buy a 2nd, try sync out, understand it and then put the two devices back
in a drawer.

For the second part, streaming right to Chromecast, no modifications or
dev work is required, since that is what the CC was built for. So,
basically that comes as a "free extra".
I hope that makes things clear. Really, the only question is, whether
somebody would be able to bridge the gap f

I'm sort of hoping for a dual-purpose use of the Chromecast.
Use it as a Player with LMS for regular stuff, like webradio or local
content where the LMS Server - Client setup is best suited, and cast
directly to the Chromecast Audio from within a supported app for stuff
like Play Music that isn't

The duet power supply is the wrong voltage , but the Squeezebox Touch
power supply works . It works on SB3 and afaik SB2/3 is the same machine
just different exterior
