I can't see the point of this device. It's too tied to Google Play. They are not going to allow that to change. A Raspberry Pi with Hifiberry DAC+ seems far more suited but if you want a consumer thingy then an Amazon Fire with SB Player seems the best bet to me as long as you have an HDMI Receiver to plug it into.
