Actually, the main thing I want is the play controls - "pause", "play",
"next", "who is this". If I'm doing something else (reading, computer,
etc.) while listening, I'd rather not have to pick up tablet/phone for
these. Changing playlists would also be nice, but I wouldn't use that as
often.
Personally, I'm hoping Amazon (or Logitech, or some 3rd party) does an
integration between Echo and Harmony remotes. Then you could use voice
controls for the managing the whole AV system...

Track time display is occasionally useful to me because I have some long
(15+ minute) classical music tracks mixed in with more typical 3 minute
tracks. Helps to know how much longer I can expect a track to play. But
it's a minor issue for me.

In practice, there is a problem with big playlists that cause multiple
minute delays before it starts playing. Supposedly fixed in the very
latest 6.5 builds, but I haven't checked yet.

they are shared across a number of machines in the house.)

Fixed the capitalization, did another clear/rescan, and still had 3x
titles.
Shut down slimserver, removed slimserversql.db, restarted slimserver,
and this time it found the correct number of tracks.
Looks like clear/rescan isn't very reliable...

Does favorites not really use the same mechanism to play the list that

Slimserver is reporting about twice the number of songs that I have
(~12000 rather then ~6000). But the album count is roughly accurate
(~500). Anyone have an idea why? It doesn't seem to be effecting
anything.
eric

EricBergan
Haven't changed anything (just got the SBs and slimserver.) But I've got
it doing a clear/rescan, and that will probably clear it up.

My rescan finished - same thing. Shows twice as many tracks as there
are, but the correct number of albums.
