Thanks for the feedback everyone.
The thing that I'd been failing to do was play music, on our phones,
with the Spotify app, and then select the SliMP3 or Squeezebox at the
output.
However, I'm in the middle of setting up a new server, so I'll try
setting up LMS afresh and see how that all
Hi garym,
For some reason, it just doesn't work for me.
I've had it working briefly, for one or two users, but then even that
stops working.
I've never been able to get all five of us able to play our spotify
though the system.
The usual problem is the output just not seeming to be available
Hi all,
Ive been a long time LMS user with SlMP3 and Squeezebox frontends.
Recently, I added a couple of Jogglers as controllers.
Its all fine when it works, but it doesnt quite work most of the time.
I think its because the hardware is getting a bit long in the tooth.
Also, my familys

That was exactly waht both distros needed.
So, I now have one Joggler running spos 3.03 and the other running
Jivelite.
I don't really know the diferences between those two,

Can you point me to a 64 bit deb for 8.2? I haven't seen that anywhere.
Thanks,
Damian

Thanks everyone!
I think I should give chill's Jivelite a proper try.
Can anyone point me to a tutorial that goes through the setup? I did try
running it, but I obviously hadn't got the network setting right and
didn't know how to change them.
Thanks,

Around Chirstmas time, I bought 2 Jogglers.
After initial learning curve, I got them both set up well and the family
were enjoying them.
Things have declined since then. :-( No one touchest them any more
because they are both so unreliable.
Sometimes the display is just very unresponsive.

I've not heard of that before.

Hi All,
Yesterday, my wife told me about really bad playback on the kitchen
system.
At first, I assumed it was down to the Joggler that I added a few weeks
ago, as that's the newest piece of kit, but that seemed fine and the
playback was still awful when using the SliMP3 alone.
I switched the

Thanks Michael,
I unchecked "do not announce players", and now it seems to be working a
bit more consistantly for my phone.
However, the device(s) still aren't showing up at all on the other
iPhones.
Here are all of my Spotty settings ...

Is anything else set incorrectly?
Thanks Paul, I'll take a look.
Are you all advising to use the older Squeezeplay OS?
Using an older version of anything feels odd to me, but maybe that's my
issue.
If I go with SqueezeplayOS, which budget DAC's will 'just work'?
Hi Ronnie,
Yes, and I've tried it both ways. I've tried anabling all of the devices
for Spotify Connect. I've also tried (due to the warning on the settings
screen about memory) just enabling one device.
It changes what shows up in the list of devices on the phone(s), but
doesn't affect how
Thanks you two.
I have tried the older SqueezePlay OS, but it doesn't seem to work for

working. And when it occasioanly does, it's intermittant and flakey at
Hi all,
Now that I've got a couple of Jogglers, it seems like a waste of power
and lan cables to have them acting just as frontends for my SLIMP3 and
SqueezeBox.
So, I'm considering replacing the 'real' squeeze devices with the
jogglers.
However, the price of some of the USB DAC's that I see
Hi Paul,
There have been a fair few 'unplug', rather than shut downs, as I've
tried them in different locations.
Wrist slapped! :-)
I've started running one of them from external USB, and that seems much
more stable. Not dropped to command prompt since then.
Hi All,
OK, I'm about a week in to owning Jogglers. The 2nd one only arrived
today, but I'm already getting serious headaches! :-)
THE FIRST JOGGLER.
This keeps getting a weird problem where I juat can't get to the 'Now
Playing' screen any more. I press on it, but nothing happens.
A reboot
Thanks for this, Ronnie and Paul.
You got me on the right track.
All sorted now.

Yes, I mentioned that, but it only seems relevant if you're running the
OS from external storage.
If you're adding it to external storage, like I have done, there doesn't
seem to be a point where you can adif the file before it's installed.
I think I need a way to do it after install.

Thanks Ronnie,
The instructions that I followed suggested updating. However, 'not
updating' has worked fine.
I'm now up and running.
Thanks you.
Hi All,
I've got a temporary PC set up as a TV, for some Christmas family
watching (for when we don't want to put the projector on).
For the audio, I've currently got it connected to a blutooth speaker.
However, there's a sound lag, which I assume is caused by the
bluetooth.

Hi All,
I've got LMS running on a Linux Server.
I've just bought a Joggler, to have in the kitchen, to control playback

I'm thinking of getting another joggler, for my office, but the only
speakers in there are attached to my computer.
Is it possible for the Joggler
I tried a couple of different OS's on my new Joggler tonight. Then tried
to install squeezeplay with the following method ...
I followed these instructions ...
1. Download Reflash system for Openpeak here ==>

2. Download Ubuntu 18.X and install image
Thanks for the responses!
Having both is fine for me, but too much choice for the family.
Which would you sugest, for ease of use, and getting where you want to
get to with the fewest clicks, for family members?
Hi everyone,
Which do you use in your idevices? iPeng or the Material UI/plugin?
Or something else?
Thanks,

Is there a way of backoing up the OS that I have, incase I ever want to

My Joggler arrived today, but I still can't register myself in the

The Joggler seems to have OpenPeak on it, and SqueezePlay as one of the

It depends what it's capable of.
Minimum requirement is that it's just a nice front end for what plays on
either my SLIMP3 or SqueezeBox.
Best case scenario would be that it's a great Squeezebox on it's own,
and can also be a

These Joggler's are fascinating me.
Do you use them to play the actual music? Or just to control the Squueze
devices around the house?
And can they play TV/Films? Can you install Kodi, or are they not that
powerful?
Are they as good as a RasberyPi solution, or inferiour but quicker to
set up?
I'm going insane! :-)
How did you do that? When I search, I get a load of Panel Tools. When I
elliminate those from the search, there's nothing left.
Very strange. Your link is working for me, I just don't know how! :-)
I never realised it before, but I want a Joggler! :-)
I'm in the UK, but NOTHING shows up when I search for Joggler/Jogglers.
Do they come under a different name, or are they just rare now?
