So the NAD D7050 arrived and I've got it working a few ways:
- with the iPad Air plugged into the D7050 Dock via stock lightning
connector. LMS is installed on a win7 PC. This is the only way that I've
been able to play 24/96 material (at least I'm hearing the tracks; I
don't know if it's down

What do you use as a player, if it's not iPeng?
Sorry, I'm using iPeng when using the iPad Dock. I inadvertently left
that out of the description.

When you are connected to your LMS in iPeng it should show up as a

Ah. It's connected through AirPlay?
Hm. All of that bridged through WiFi? That could cause quite a bit of
network congestion.
If both the PC and the NAD are connected through WiFi then you are
having no fewer than FOUR lossless streams (PC-router, router-iPad,
iPad-router

iPeng can play 24/96, and it will also output 24/96 through USB if (and
that's a big if) your dock supports it.
Thanks, this is what I was after.
One other Q. My understanding is that iPad Air (iOS 7) does not support
AptX Bluetooth. Is hardware required, or does iPeng 7

AirPlay only supports 16/48 so if you use AirPlay, iOS will downsample
your stream to that (the 16 bit don't hurt as much as with other
transmissions because volume will be sent separately). The stream uses
lossless ALAC.
OK, most of my library is 16/44 so this will work.
The NAD D 7050 came out this past summer 2013. Although it's on back
order, I think the iDevice dock will be one way to stream 24/96. It also
is UPnP compliant. But the UPnP controllers are no iPeng! So I will use
iPeng with AirPlay or the dock for 16/44 material, which is 99% of my
library.
Can iPeng 7 Player (in app purchase) using iPad Air stream 24/48 or
24/96 using iPad usb cable to a 24/96 capable receiver with iDevice dock
source input?

Yes, that works (with both Apps). The one thing that does NOT work is
saving stuff as Spotify playlists but you can have mixed playlists with
music from all kinds of music and save them in Logitech Media Server for
later use.

I'm thinking about purchasing one of these apps, and want to know if
iPeng or SqueezePad can integrate/control MOG or Spotify, similar to how
Sonos can. Thanks for you help!

Thanks! Presently, I don't have a SB setup. Is there a MOG (or Spotify)
search field on the iPeng/SqueezePad app? Can one save MOG tracks or
albums to a iPeng que or playlist? Sorry for the rudimentary questions.
Thanks so much! Sounds like I can accomplish what I want with iPeng!

I appreciate the assistance. The info provided is helpful and gives me a
few things to think about. Yes, it is a 64-bit machine; sorry for
leaving out that detail. Last night I was able to delete the softsqueeze
folder from the program files x86 folder. That seemed to do it. I

Please point EXEC4_java_home to a JRE.
Ultimately, I'd like to replace softsqueeze with squeezelite. Any help
appreciated!

Prior to posting my Q, I downloaded java. I could not find the file with

Thanks BPA
I have LMS 3.7.7 installed on a win7 desktop PC. The music files are
stored on an USB external HDD.
Softsqueeze is installed on this PC because i used to stream to an SB
Touch which is no longer in the system.
I have recently purchased a NAD D 7050 digital amp/streamer, which is in

Do you have any suggestions on a good UPNP/DLNA control app (iPad) and
DLNA server? I have never used either.
One hesitation I have is that most of these DLNA servers are
subscription based. Experience here?

Is SB hogging all the ports or are there IP conflicts? I'd appreciate
any advise...as I cannot bear another 90 minute call with TimeWarner
that goes nowhere. Thanks in advance!
