-hand panel would, just jump a tiny bit when I clicked add track in the left panel. Restarting ss2 did not help, but -synchronizing- it with a hardware player, adding a track, worked fine - and it continued to work fine even after the synchronization was removed. -- bobkoure

a firewall - nothing. The server in the DMZ is a virtual machine - no AV there either, but I use SNORT on the firewall, and if anything seems amiss, I just stop the VM and copy a backup image over it (takes a couple of minutes), restart the VM - and that's it -- bobkoure

2AM to 7AM. Faster would be better, of course, but being able to just put music in my music folders and have it in MusicIP and SC the next morning would be really good. Feel free to tell me I've gotten it all wrong...(?) -- bobkoure

for new and changed music in SC. Or should I have not run refresh? I'm pretty sure reload cache is necessary, or the (headless) MusicIP wouldn't have the new data generated by genpuid... right? -- bobkoure bobkoure's Profile

Thanks for taking the time to both figure that one out - ant to post it! I just got a copy of genpuid. Getting a copy is a bit more involved than just downloading something; go 'here' (http://musicbrainz.org/doc/genpuid) for a step-by-step at MusicBrainz. -- bobkoure
