Just noticed that "Playlists" were supposed to be back so upgraded from 7.9 Dec 2016 -> Logitech Media Server Version: 7.9.1 - 1494667952 @ Mon May 22 04:05:43 CUT 2017. Unfortunately, "Playlists" does not appear in the "Inactive menu items" columns. Am I missing something? It was missing in 7.7

I shut the server down and restarted my Imac, this seems to have cleared things up (fingers crossed). I toggled through the sync settings on all three players just in case a shuffle setting was engaged. The weird part was that half the time it would shuffle the songs to the current playlist.

I've recently started using my Squeezeboxes and Transporter after several years off. Thanks to help here on these forums I was able to get everything working smoothly or so I thought. Playback was glitch free connecting three rooms wirelessly for a couple of days then I started to get tweaked.

Note pad or wordpad has a search and replace function use that replace E:\ with whats used now or as much of the path that don't match. It has replace all as an option basically a couple of mouse clicks . Take backups of the playölist first . Rescan after you have changed them. -- Mnyb

I simply installed over my 7.3 version. But after installed, I did do a complete rescan of my music library (I don't think this is neccesary, but I tinker with tags and such and do this every so often anyhow). And I recall I had a couple of old plugins that I needed to update to newer versions.

Now that I have found my preferred and quick method of making playlists on my SB that does not need a science degree, I am very happy but I have noticed that when I played a playlist on shuffle then went back and played the same playlist on shuffle a few days later, it plays the exact same track

The log shows that the software is scanning the playlists, so my guess is something with the format. One thing I do notice is the case of the file path. Some OS' are case sensitive, although you look to be running Windows of some flavour? Have you tried replacing with c:\source\mp3, not

I have a choice of Nero Burn ROM, EAC, Imageburn, JRiver Media Center, or MediaMMonkey. But I keep gettting on;y icons unless I individualy copy each file. Your advice wuold be most appreciated. Ken -- kmlevine

You probably know this, but your playlists are nothing more than simple text files with lists of the tracks, giving the full path and file specification. Unless you can get one of those programs to treat the playlist as a shortcut, so that it actually goes out and reads the file from the ReadyNAS

I have a MacMini and MacPro. To set up the mini as a music server, I dragged the Music folder from the MacPro to the Mini. Mini runs OS 10.4.11. (Old Mac). Pro runs OS 10.5.9. Have SC 7.3.3 on both. Have one SB3. The SB plays all music OK from the mini, but Playlists always show as empty. I

Hold everything ! I nominated he playlists folder again same as music folder. It started a playlists scan automatically, and I let it complete. AND THEN pressed apply at the bottom of the screen. I don't know if that was necessary. But now it works, and all playlists appear on the SB3. Sorry to

But then you are stuck creating playlists on your PC, and if you're going to do that, there are already tons of good music programs that can do it easily. The problem is that the new playlists then need to be scanned in by SC, so it adds a delay. The Playlist Manager plug-in really does this so
