There are two issues but they may be interconnected. Can you get radio on SoftSqueeze on the same PC as Slimserver ? You should also put into the exclusion list socketwrapper.exe and mplayer.exe. After an upgrade some users have found it necessary on some security s/w/ to delete the old entries

The M500 will work with Slimserver 6.2.x - there are plenty of Roku user using slimserver. If you are sure slimserver is working ok (i.e. it works with SoftSqueeze) and the problem is related to the M500 you will get better support on the Roku site. As a suggestion try forcing playback using MP3
