When I issued the command "systemctl enable squeezeboxserver.service" it
returned the message "Failed to execute operation: No such file or
directory"

You may have to enable the service.
systemctl enable squeezeboxserver.service
then systemctl start squeezeboxserver

Thanks Thomas for your comment. Yes, I rebooted but no LSM. I am using
vortexbox OS version 2.4. I can google the IP address of the vortexbox
and I get the Vortexbox main menu. When I click on the LSM icon, I get
the message "This site can not be reached". Do I need to erase and
reinstall

Did you get the 7.9.1 update? If so, I may not fully understand your
problem and keep in mind that my
Gharris999 moved ServerPowerControl to GitHub.
AFAIK the plugin still works fine, although Gordon doesn't develop it
anymore.

can not log on to LMS though. I get the message "This site can not be
